Kleemann's MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe electric impact crusher makes its market première at Asphaltica 2026

Kleemann unveiled the MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe at Asphaltica 2026 in Bologna - a fully electric compact impact crusher with 160 kW crushing power and up to 250 t/h feed capacity.

Equipment

Kleemann brought the MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe to its global market première at Asphaltica 2026 in Bologna, Italy, on 7 October 2026 - a fully electric compact mobile impact crusher that can run with zero local CO2 emissions when connected to an external power supply.

What the machine is and how it is driven

The MR 100 NEOe is the electric variant of Kleemann's MOBIREX MR 100 NEO, the first member of the brand's new NEO compact crusher line. The NEOe features Kleemann's all-electric E-DRIVE drive concept, while the standard MR 100 NEO is equipped with the proven diesel-direct D-DRIVE system.

Under E-DRIVE, all main drives - including the crusher unit - run electrically. Depending on the application, it can be run all-electrically with the E-DRIVE concept and thus, locally, free of CO2 emissions. The machine can also operate in diesel-electric mode from its onboard John Deere power pack when an external supply is not available.

The power supply unit delivers 200 kW output from a 260 kVA John Deere generator, with crushing power rated at 160 kW through an SHB100-075 impact crusher model. The crusher inlet measures 1,000 mm × 750 mm, the rotor diameter is 1,000 mm, and impact toggle adjustment is stepless and fully hydraulic.

Key specifications

Maximum feed size is 500 mm × 800 mm × 300 mm, with a feed capacity of up to approximately 250 t/h and a hopper volume of 3.3 m³.

  • Feed capacity: up to 250 t/h
  • Crusher inlet: 1,000 mm × 750 mm
  • Rotor diameter: 1,000 mm
  • Crushing power: 160 kW
  • Power supply unit output: 200 kW (260 kVA generator, John Deere)
  • Transport weight (basic plant): approximately 29 t

Compact dimensions - approximately 12,700 mm long (14,830 mm with the screening unit), 2,550 mm wide (up to 2,900 mm with the screening unit) and 3,200 mm high - allow the machine to be deployed with ease on sites where space is limited.

At approximately 29 t, the MR 100 NEO/NEOe weighs almost half the mass of Kleemann's previous smallest impact crusher at around 56 t, making it a practical option for contractors who move equipment frequently between sites.

Control system and productivity features

The machine runs on Kleemann's SPECTIVE operating system. SPECTIVE CONNECT allows all important machine information to be accessed directly on a smartphone, with higher productivity as a result of fewer interruptions to the production process.

A Continuous Feed System (CFS) is standard. CFS enables a continuous crusher feed and is a unique feature in the compact class, enabling inexperienced operators to achieve high utilisation of the crusher, leading to less material bridging and fewer machine downtimes. Kleemann states the system can deliver up to 10% more daily output compared with conventional feed control.

The machine is designed for various demolition and recycling applications and can process materials ranging from concrete, rubble and asphalt to soft to medium-hard natural stone.

An optional single-deck secondary screening unit and an optional wind sifter for removing contaminants such as wood and plastic from recycled material are also available.

The other two Asphaltica premières

From 7 to 10 October 2026, the Wirtgen Group presented solutions for road construction, earthworks and the processing of quarried stone and recyclable materials in Bologna. The three market premières were the SUPER 800-5 P Mini Class paver from Vögele, the HC 200i C VA compactor with Smart Compact from Hamm, and the fully electric MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe impact crusher from Kleemann.

The SUPER 800-5 P features a compact design, new material hopper geometry, an elevated paver operator's platform, an ergonomic operating concept and an improved lighting concept. The HC 200i C VA compactor achieves centrifugal forces of up to 450 kN and uses variable amplitude to prevent over-compaction and drum jumping.

The Wirtgen Group also showed the W 200 Fi milling machine and the WRC 240 X crusher as additional exhibits, alongside a MULTI JET burner capable of operating on 100% green hydrogen for CO2-free asphalt production.

What to watch

The MR 100 NEOe's E-DRIVE architecture positions it to benefit from growing contractor interest in electric-eligible funding schemes in Europe and North America. Local CO2-free operation through an external power supply makes the machine eligible for funding, depending on the country. Kleemann has not disclosed a North American sales start date for the NEOe variant; the diesel-direct MR 100 NEO is already available through the dealer network. Rental fleet uptake will be the clearest signal of whether the compact electric crusher class gains traction at scale.
